What Can I Use A Laptop Data Card For?
So you've been looking at alternatives to having internet cable installed in your home and you're feeling pretty guilty about stealing the neighbors Wi-Fi. Wireless laptop data cards are also known as wireless data cards, wireless internet cards, wireless modems and PC cards. Most are portable internet devices that attach to your computer through the USB or FireWire port, support 3G data speeds and access the internet wirelessly anywhere wireless networks are available without a Wi-Fi hotspot (like a coffee house, Internet Café, airport or hotel) or a wired connection. You can acquire a laptop data card along with a data plan subscription from your wireless carrier's cellular network.
All data cards are linked to a major cellular carrier network like Sprint. With this card, you can bring your office on the road, or surf the internet any time wireless networks are available. You can also get full, secure access to files, office applications or even your emails.
The standard data plan includes up to five GB of data which, generally, lets you send or receive 150,000 emails with no attachments or 50,000 emails with up to five pages of documents attached to each. You can visit 30,000 web pages or download 5,000 songs without ever exceeding your five GB limitation of data.

As you can see the advantages to using a wireless laptop card are plentiful. They give you Internet access anywhere and at anytime, allow access to email, stream videos, and multimedia downloads on the go. As technology progresses from 3G to 4G, these devices will adapt to what the ‘generation' needs for the fastest, most advanced, most accurate data transfers and enhanced security measures available.
