Calling Video Editing gurus: Capture device is a DVCAM digital video cassette player?
I recently have five old reel of 8mm film (family stuff from the 1950s) consolidated through a professional video verbs company. The resulting master I received is a 124-min DVCAM video digital tape. I would approaching to capture this to my computer and gag the footage with Pinnacle Studio 11 Ultimate. I enjoy two questions: 1) Can my program in fact capture this format? and 2) How expensive are the DVCAM VCRs? Can I rent one cheaply or will it cost me a bundle (I don't own nor have I ever see a DVCAM player)? Thanks!

Okay so i need to find a cheap but really excellent camcorder...I don't want a used one if thats what ur thinking. hehehe. *i call for one vewwi vewwi badd so that i can get my design on YouTube and out there to the world!! I haven't be able to get hold of one and i'm tryna get one b4 my birthday cuz that seem like its contained by forever...(august 2nd). I am going insane here, and i definitely don't own the $$$ right now cuz i don't work and neither do i recieve an allowance anymore. I am between a rock and a not easy place so, plz help!!

Camcorder mini dvd-r video?
i have a mini dvdr 1.4 gb which is from my camcorder to history videos on it. However when i put these discs on a computer nil comes up. I need to brand copies of these disks so how can i upload these videos to computer.
Camcorder? can usb introduction video or will i have need of firewire?
i know firwire is quicker but my uncles just bought a camcorder next to no firwire port on computer will usb import the video (i know its slower) or will it jst import stills??
Camera for video?
ok.im 14 and and i am interested in making short clips next to cool video effects...i have tried every possible process and program..nothing recognize my digital camera videos. i verbs them using kodak and they play on the computer but like contained by WMM (windows movie maker) it doesnt recognize the format or anything..is at hand a way i can build all those software programs certify it? i was thinking around buying a camera but it wood have to be resembling under 150 bucks. is at hand any camera that makes movies recognizable by those programs? if so WHAT?? thank you

ok im 14 years old and i love making/producing/editing video but im buting a new camra/video camra i get $320 to spend on it. should i buy a video camera or a normal camera i use video mode and picture mode matching amount but i dont know what i should get because it cant be a big video camera but its get to have well brought-up memory so it cant be a normal still picture camera. also i dont know what im looking for similar to pixels lenses zoom ect. i defenitly want lithium battery so it have to have that. so if u could please lend a hand with that appreciation

would like to do a hide away and reprint of a camrecorder disk it will not play on windows medium player. we can only use a usb port the disk have been finalized. it will play on computer but we wold similar to to save it and next reprint disk

Can I use my jvc GR-DVL915 to digitize vhs movies within pass-through mode?
I have a GR-DVL915 DV camcorder. I enjoy connected it via the svideo connector to my svhs player. I have also connected it to the computer via USB. I know how to copy from the svhs player to DV tape on the camcorder and later take that into the computer. What I would resembling to do is to take the video directly into the computer short first recording it on dv video. Does anyone have a JVC camcorder near pass through mode and know how to see this? I got a exotic camcorder that is a sony it have firewire. MY laptop has firewire so I can seizure them to that however my desktop has the dvd burner. Is within any way to do this save for adding a firewire pci to the desktop? I find myself making short little videos onto youtube more in our day. But it's so aggravating because since i don't have a tripod, i own to make do near what i have by using volatile boxes and books stacked together to get a appropriate fix on whatever i'm videotape. And i seriously want to get a tripod. Can tripods hold any type of camera? Now suffer in mind that i hold a small Canon camera that can only hold 8 minutes of video. It is not a video camera. It's a moment ago a regular small camera that happens to hold video.
