How to Burn WMV to DVD, playing WMV to DVD
Also known as the Windows Media Video, the WMV are the video files that you can only play on the Microsoft Windows Media Player. This video file format is a series of video codec which was created by Microsoft. No wonder why it is exclusive for their Windows operating system alone.
Many are using the WMV files around the world. However, most of the Windows Media videos are protected by Digital Rights Management or DRM. Of course, Microsoft just wants to give protection to their content and their customers by using DRM. This is the main reason why you can't easily burn WMV files on your DVD. If you want to get a copy of your favorite WMV movie and burn it in your DVD, here are the ways on how to burn WMV to DVD.
Playing WMV to DVD is actually easy. What you need to do is to download a software that would let you convert the WMV files to DVD. Once you have successfully converted the files you can now watch it on your DVD players. If you also have a set of video clips, you can also compile it and make your own video slideshow as well.
Before downloading and installing the software of your choice, see to it that it is very user-friendly so that it would be easier for you to burn and play the WMV files to your DVD. You should also check if it converts other files as well such as MPEG, MOV, MP4, AVI, DAT, and the like. In this way, you would only need one program for all your movie converting needs.
Now that you have already installed the movie converter, you can start adding the WMV files. Choose the Load Video option so you can check for the location of the WMV files that you want to be converted. Depending on your software, you can add these WMV as part of the collection so you can easily see the files the next time you want to burn it on DVD.
There are also some programs that would allow you to create effects prior to the burning process. This is a fun way to have a more personalized video clips especially if you want to have a copy of family videos in a DVD. Just see to it that you read the instructions first on how to burn WMV to DVD so the process will be just a piece of cake.
